The hot start from the Buffalo Bills sizzled as the game went on, but Josh Allen & Co. still secured a 27-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. And a big reason for that was Allen’s playmaking under pressure.

Offensive spotlight: Buffalo entered Week 8 averaging an incredible 7.3 yards per play under pressure, over two yards more than any other offense in the NFL. Tonight against the Packers, the Bills averaged 11.6 yards per play under pressure.

Allen completed 6-of-12 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns under pressure tonight. And while Allen did throw a couple of interceptions and turnover-worthy plays, his two big-time throws under duress were key in Buffalo’s victory.

Defensive spotlight: Jaire Alexander heard a few choice words from the Bills receiving corps tonight, but the All-Pro corner dished out his fair share and backed it up with his play on the field. Alexander saw five targets in coverage, didn’t allow a single catch, forced three incompletions and intercepted one.

However, that still wasn’t enough for Green Bay. Cornerback Rasul Douglas allowed his first four targets to be caught for 93 yards and a touchdown before coming up with an interception a bit too late in the game in the fourth quarter.

Rookie spotlight: Packers' rookie offensive lineman Zach Tom got the start at left guard, and he had a rocky first series, allowing a sack and a hit over his first six pass-blocking snaps. After that, the Wake Forest product pitched a clean game with no more pressure allowed.

Packers rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs had two of the best grabs of the night in contested scenarios, one being a deep touchdown.

Offensive line spotlight: Josh Allen was under pressure quite a bit on Sunday night, but the interior offensive line had little to do with that. Buffalo’s interior trio of Mitch Morse, Rodger Saffold and Ryan Bates combined for just two pressures allowed.

Green Bay star left tackle David Bakhtiari is starting to return to top-tier form. He was the lone Packers lineman with zero pressures allowed against Buffalo on first review.
