WR MICHAEL PITTMAN JR., INDIANAPOLIS COLTS ($7,200 ON DRAFTKINGS) VS. TENNESSEE TITANS

Pittman Jr. (75.8) enters Week 4 with a 91.9 matchup advantage rating over Tennessee cornerback Terrance Mitchell (58.3 PFF coverage grade) in PFF’s WR/CB matchup chart, the eighth-best rating overall. The two are expected to square off on 26 of 61 projected snaps, with Kristian Fulton (54.3 PFF coverage grade) and Roger McCreary (60.1 PFF coverage grade) expected to split the remaining 35 snaps, 23 and 12, respectively.

Pass Defense Statistics Rec. Yds Allowed Rec. TDs Allowed Open Target % Forced Inc. %
Tennessee Titans 812 (9th-most) 8 (T-most) 63.0% (3rd-highest) 5.4% (6th-worst)

Among NFL wide receivers with at least 75 receiving snaps and 20 targets to their name, Pittman’s 23.2% targets per route run and 2.03 yards per route run rank 21st and 15th, respectively. Operating like the alpha that he is, among the same group of qualifying wide receivers, Pittman has racked up six explosive pass plays, tied for ninth-most in the league, despite missing Week 2 with a quad injury. Pittman is also one of just two wide receivers in the aforementioned category to not record a single deep target, thanks almost entirely to Colts quarterback Matt Ryan and his 31st-ranked 0.08% big-time throw rate.

Ryan has struggled against top pass-rushing units this year, producing a 26.8 PFF passing grade when under pressure. Over the past two weeks, the Colts have faced a pair of top-12 pressure generators, the Kansas City Chiefs (35.5% quarterback pressure rate) and Jacksonville Jaguars (33.9% quarterback pressure rate). The Titans, however, rank 19th with a 31.1% quarterback pressure rate, so Ryan’s pocket should be far cozier in Week 4.
