Offensive Player Spotlight: G Cooper Beebe, Kansas State

After being named a second-team All-American last season, Beebe is a first-team selection this year. His 83.8 overall grade led all Power Five guards, and he was the only Power Five guard to rank inside the top five in both pass-blocking grade (third) and run-blocking grade (fourth). On 1,224 pass-blocking snaps over the past three seasons, the senior surrendered only one sack. He accomplished that even despite playing left tackle in 2021 before switching to left guard.

Defensive Player Spotlight: DI T’Vondre Sweat, Texas

At 362 pounds, Sweat is a monster in the run game. His 92.0 run-defense grade this year led all FBS interior defensive linemen, and his 15 tackles for loss or no gain tied for second. The senior flashed as a pass-rusher, too, ranking 10th in pass-rush win rate at the position (14.2%). He also had the best celebration of the season after catching a touchdown against Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship game.

Offensive Line Spotlight: Texas Longhorns

Texas’ offensive line was one of the best in the nation at keeping its quarterback’s jersey clean. The Longhorns’ 89.3 pass-blocking grade ranked fourth, and the unit placed third in the FBS with just an 11.7% pressure rate allowed.
