Offensive Player Spotlight: QB Preston Stone, SMU

Stone’s 90.9 passing grade this season led all Group of Five quarterbacks. He also ranked first in big-time throws (30) and fourth in passer rating (110.0). 

Defensive Player Spotlight: EDGE Elijah Roberts, SMU

Roberts’ 62 pressures this season were the most by any Group of Five defender. His 19.7% pass-rush win rate placed fourth in the Group of Five, while his 77.3 run-defense grade ranked fifth among AAC edge defenders.

Offensive Line Spotlight: SMU Mustangs

SMU’s offensive line earned an 85.5 grade this season, tied with Oregon State for the best in the country. The Mustangs’ front five was the only unit in college football to earn 85.0-plus pass-blocking and run-blocking grades.
