The Saints are already without star-wideout Michael Thomas for the season and lost emerging young tight end Adam Trautman to injury for the next 4-6 weeks. New Orleans' next-leading receiver, Marquez Callaway, has 396 receiving yards so far in 2021, which ranks tied for 69th in the NFL. Star running back Alvin Kamara has missed consecutive weeks as well.

The Saints are coming off their fourth straight defeat, and their chances of making the playoffs fell to 40%, per PFF's power rankings before Thursday's blowout home loss to the Buffalo Bills. New Orleans is no longer in the NFC playoff picture for the first time this season, as the San Francisco 49ers are the current seventh seed.

The Saints will play on Thursday again next week, as they host the Dallas Cowboys.
