An NFL player's injury status can have a significant effect on both real-life and fantasy football. Maybe most importantly at this time of year — at least for some — is that injuries heavily influence fantasy football rankings and start/sit decisions.

ATLANTA FALCONS @ CAROLINA PANTHERS

  • Panthers CB Donte Jackson tore his Achilles in the fourth quarter and will miss the remainder of the season. He could be ready for the start of the 2023 season if he suffers no setbacks.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS @ TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

  • Seahawks WR Dee Eskridge sustained a hand injury during the game. The severity of the injury is unclear. He will undergo further testing on Monday.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS @ BUFFALO BILLS

  • Vikings LB Za’Darius Smith is dealing with a knee contusion. I do not expect it to be major, and he should be available for Week 11.

DETROIT LIONS @ CHICAGO BEARS

  • Bears RB Khalil Herbert left the game in the fourth quarter with a hip injury. The return-to-play timeline is typically one to three weeks, depending on the severity.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS @ KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

  • Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster suffered a head injury after a scary hit in the second quarter. He displayed a fencing response and will enter the five-step concussion protocol.

ARIZONA CARDINALS @ LOS ANGELES RAMS

  • Cardinals TE Zach Ertz was carted off with an apparent knee injury in the first quarter. The severity was unclear from the replay. He will undergo further testing Monday.
  • Rams WR Cooper Kupp suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter. He seemed to avoid suffering a fractured fibula, but I fear he sustained the dreaded high-ankle sprain. The typical return-to-play timeline is four to six weeks. He very well might not be the same until next season.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS @ SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

  • Chargers TE Gerald Everett suffered a groin injury in the second quarter. The typical return-to-play timeline is two to three weeks.
