FAAB bidding strategies after NFL Week 4: Spend it all on Chargers' Joshua Kelley

Free-agent acquisition budget (FAAB) leagues level the playing field for nabbing fantasy free agents after each week of NFL action. They also allow fantasy managers to employ a great deal more strategy when acquiring players because each team has a limited amount of dollars to work with. All players in this article will be rostered in less than half of Yahoo leagues unless otherwise noted. Here is how you should be allocating your FAAB dollars coming out of Week 4.

Tre’Quan Smith, New Orleans Saints

Suggested FAAB Spend: 5% or less

Smith scored twice versus the Lions on Sunday, but he did so on just four targets. He recorded a 16% target share, with Emmanuel Sanders leading the team with nine looks from Drew Brees. With Michael Thomas expected to return in Week 5, Smith is set to go back to an ancillary role for the Saints. Smith will be worth starting moving forward only if Thomas suffers a setback or if he surpasses Sanders in the pecking order. Let someone else overpay for him.
