Training camp is almost here and that means it’s almost time for daily NFL news! Get ready for a month of coach-speak, beat writer buzz, and valuable information about a player’s role within his offense.

Over the next four weeks, we will preview every division and pinpoint players to track during training camp and the preseason. From now until the start of the season, the real information we’ll need to gather is about a player’s role and chemistry within his offense.

You won’t find players like Brandon Marshall and Rob Gronkowski — we know what their roles will be; will a quote from player X really change your opinion on their outlook? However, some players’ roles are yet to be defined, and we hope to gain valuable information on them during camp. These are the players we’re keeping an eye on, and the ones we’re bringing to your attention. Let’s get started.

Jay Ajayi, RB, Miami Dolphins

Entering 2016, the narrative has shifted — skeptics are no longer concerned with Ajayi’s ability as a runner; instead, they want to know if he can be an asset in the passing game. It’s a fair question to ask. New head coach Adam Gase asks a lot of his running backs in the passing game and Ajayi was barely involved as a rookie (77 pass routes and 11 targets).

The narrative: Can Ajayi prove himself in the passing game?
